Our Mission

Kirk Care is deeply committed to our Mission of feeding the hungry and reducing poverty within our community.  We distribute nonperishable food,  food vouchers for fresh food, personal care items, school supplies, warm, clothing, emergency utility assistance and children's summer camp educational program assistance to qualified clients. Kirk Care is committed to:

*Providing resources to reduce food and financial insecurity for qualified clients;

*Assessing a client's situation to provide best available services to meet the client's needs;

*Providing emergency and/or ongoing assistance according to client's needs;

*Being open to the spiritual needs of clients;

*Promoting and enhancing family self-reliance.

Kirk Care respects the worth of everybody touched by us, including our clients, volunteers, donors, contractors, and community partners in everything we do. We are fully committed and understand the time our volunteers and partners give to us, the talents they share with us, and the funds they invest in us.

Our tireless volunteers continue to be critical to everything we do at Kirk Care. We have more than 75 active volunteers from local churches and others within our community providing client delivery service, stocking the pantry, performing assessments, coordinating food and financial donation events and providing leadership to perform all activities.

Kirk Care is governed by our Board of Directors to carry out our Mission.  Our Board is comprised of local church representatives who are passionate about helping our neighbors in need.  Each church can have up to two voting representatives on our Board.
